…and baking is not my strong suit. In fact, I used to hate everything to do with being in a kitchen. However, not being able to go anywhere due to the 2020 stay at home orders made me realize that I needed a hobby. Sure, I love reading, painting, writing, and so many other things, but I needed something fresh that would keep me entertained. So I picked up a spatula and tried my best to bake some chocolate chip cookies. By no means were they perfect, but they were pretty darn tasty!
Baking with an Amateur is just what it sounds like: baking with an amateur, the amateur baker being me. I don’t create recipes, I try recipes. I want to document my struggles in the kitchen and be the home baker someone can relate to. Trust me, I’m a hot mess when it comes to baking.
